FAQs

  • Yes, absolutely! My yoga classes are suitable for all levels, including complete beginners. You do not need any previous experience. I will offer clear guidance and alternative postures so you can move at your own pace. Each class is designed to help you find balance, build strength, and confidence, whether it’s your first class or you practice regularly. Yoga is for everyone!

  • Not at all! Yoga is all about how it feels in your body, not how it looks. You don’t need to touch your toes or twist into advanced poses to benefit from yoga. Yoga helps you become more flexible over time by safely improving your range of motion and body awareness. More importantly, yoga cultivates strength, mindfulness, and inner calm, which go far beyond levels of flexibility.

  • Breath (or pranayama) is at the heart of every yoga practice. In my classes, I guide you to connect your movement with your breath, helping to calm the mind and focus your attention. This can have a wider benefit off the mat, as well as in the yoga class itself. We often begin or end sessions with simple breathing exercises designed to reduce stress, increase energy, and support a deeper sense of presence.

  • Hatha Yoga is a traditional style of yoga that focuses on balancing the body and mind through physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and relaxation. It’s a slower-paced practice that allows you to move mindfully, build strength, and improve flexibility while deepening your understanding of alignment and breath. Hatha yoga is perfect for beginners and experienced students alike.

  • Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing and gentle practice that focuses on rest, stillness, and renewal. It is very much 'the less effort you put in, the more you will gain'. Using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, each posture is held for several minutes to help release tension from the body and calm the nervous system. It’s ideal for anyone looking to reduce stress, improve sleep, and support recovery.

  • While yoga can improve flexibility and strength like other forms of exercise, it’s much more than just stretching. Yoga combines movement, breath, and mindfulness, creating a holistic practice that supports your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Unlike most workouts, yoga helps you connect inward, cultivating awareness, balance, and peace that extends beyond the mat.
